FOTD: Golden Dipped Cranberries

This is the thing about posting after you've been away for months. I don't remember which eyeshadows I chose but they are probably Makeup Geek. The lipstick shade I'm wearing may be a Stila Stay All Day Lipstick but honestly, I have no idea. I am pretty sure it was an Adrienne Bailon inspired look with those lashes, which are from  KOKO Lashes, and are similar to Siren by House of Lashes.
Love you all, sorry about the hiatus!

Melt Cosmetics: Dark Room and 6Six6

Ultra-matte. Bold. Radioactive. I've been wanting Melt Cosmetics since the beginning of this year, I believe. I finally bought some recently. What made me finally try them is Dark Room. a new limited edition shade that was named after one of the owners: Lora Arellano's relationship with her husband. I knew I had to have it. It's a beautiful plum.

6six6 is everyone's favorite red for fall. Deep and sultry, it's their most popular shade. Unfortunately, both colors are sold out. I do recommend buying their other shades, they're fantastic.

They do have a drier formula, so they don't glide easily, but I don't have a problem with it. I love matte lipsticks and these are definitely that.

Lime Crime Velvetine: Utopia

Utopia is supposed to be a universal pink for all skintones. It is a very flattering shade, long lasting and of course a gorgeous matte finish. There's not much to really say about Velvetines. They're a cult classic and I have two more coming in the mail soon. Do you alluring beauties love velvetines?

Tom Ford Lip Color Matte 2014

These are my first ever Tom Ford lipsticks, and I am so impressed. These feel like butter going on your lips. Easily, the creamiest, most luxurious lipsticks I own. Very much worth the price tag. I have heard that they smudge. I honestly, did not wear these long enough to see if they smudged. So, I have no comment on that, but the pigmentation and the formula are of the highest quality.

I purchased Pussycat: It's kind of a baby pink but it has more of a natural undertone. It looks a little darker in real life than it does in the photo.

Black Dahlia: this does show any dry spots you have on your lips, so you should exfoliate a little. It's a gorgeous berry.

MAC Heirloom Mix Collection

My picks from the MAC holiday collection 2014: Heirloom Mix. This collection is huge, there's the main collection and then they have a lot of different keepsakes: brush kits, face kits, lip and eye bags, hanging travel bags, glitter and pigment kits, and objects of affection mini kits. A lot of items are still in stock, I suggest hopping over to MAC to see what goodies you can score.

Heirloom Mix Pressed Pigments: "An intensely creamy highlighter offering extreme pearlescence and versatility of finish. Apply dry for a high shine, or on damp skin for a dramatic wet look. Provides eye-catching sheer-to-moderate buildable coverage and natural dimension finish. Pressed Pigment is delicate. Please handle with care. Encased in limited-edition black packaging flecked with silver sparkles."

Enchantment: Violet with blue violet sparkles. On my skintone, Enchantment looks like a navy-grey with silver sparkles.
Noblesse Oblige: Frosty wood. Like Enchantment, Noblesse Oblige does not show up like the description. It looks like a metallic taupe on me.

They are both gorgeous colors, just not what I was expecting.

MAC Keepsakes: Viva Glamorous. There were two keepsakes, the first one is the one I purchased and it comes with both of Rihanna's Viva Glam lipsticks in a cute red makeup bag. This is unfortunately sold out but you can still get the first six Viva Glams in a palette. They have never done that before and I think it's a fantastic gift for someone during the holidays.

Viva Glam Rihanna 1:  Frosty blue-red.
Viva Glam Rihanna 2: Cool mauve with red frost.

I know, I know, more lipsticks. But I am addicted and sorry not sorry. I got all of the lipsticks they offered except for Rebel which is a permanent color that I already own.

No Faux Pas: (my favorite of course) Hot Pink (matte)
Sparks of Romance: True Red (matte frost)
Salon Rouge: Clean Berry Red (matte)
Tribalist: Deep Purple Berry (amplified)

Did you all pick up anything from Heirloom Mix?

FOTD: Alter Ego

I thought I'd try something new since it's almost Halloween! Alter Ego makeup: Good Girl vs. Bad Girl. I don't remember the exact products I used but I know it was makeup geek and MAC eye shadows from the Brooke Shields Gravitas palette. I'm wearing two different pairs of lashes, but both are stacked.

Enjoy!

MAC The Matte Lip Collection

The Matte Lip Collection has been my favorite so far this year. I got all of the lipsticks and all of the blushes. I did not get any of the lip liners, though. You know that my favorite finish for a lipstick is matte. So when I saw these, I knew I had to have them all. Heroine was also a part of this collection but it's a permanent shade that I already own. Surprisingly, most of this collection is still available. The only item that is sold out is Fashion Revival lipstick.

Styled in Sepia: Dirty Cement Beige. It is a dupe for Nude from the RiRi hearts Mac collection. So, if you missed that here's your chance to get it under a different name. This is my least favorite one, but I really want to try an ombre-ish look with stone lip liner.

Pander Me: Soft Peachy Mocha. The description is spot on, it's a mid-tone brownie-peach. I think it's gorgeous and it's looks good on a lot of skin tones.

Nouvelle Vogue: Soft Blue Pink. Barbie's dream house pink. I don't know if it really looks good on my skintone but I love it in the picture below.

La Vie En Rouge: Bright Orange Coral. This is my favorite from the collection. Isn't that shocking, I rave so much about fuchsias and deep plums and berries that I didn't realize how pretty some other colors are. I know it looks kind of fuchsia-esque in the photo but it's not.

Dam Glamorous: Bright Pink Red. I admit this does look similar to LVER  but it has more of a red undertone. This is my second favorite one.

Fashion Revival: Deep Raspberry. It's like a matte Rebel.

Living Legend: Deep Plum. Similar to RiRi Talk that Talk and A Novel Romance Lingering Kiss. It's darker and a little more purple toned than LK.

The Pro Long Wear blushes were perfect. Much better than the Crazed Imagination fiasco.
I'm a Lover: Pink. Very very light, blue-toned pink.
Fleeting Romance: Coral.
Make You Mine: Dirty Salmon. MYM is my favorite out of the blushes, for the name and the shade. I think it looks very natural and has a fleshy tone to it.

So, this was love at first sight for the collection and it did not disappoint.

Do you pick up anything? If you haven't, are you going to?
