Cult Nails Enigmatic

MY FIRST CULT NAILS! WOOT WOOT! I'm so excited! I actually got this a few weeks ago and this is my first time wearing it! In real life it looks like chocolate, a smooth tasty chocolate. With flash or in the sunlight you can see the deep aubergine and slight shimmer. It is pretty sheer though, this is five coats!

Julep Lauren

Three sheer coats of Juelp's Lauren, in the bottle it's a thick hot pink like you could drink it! So delicious. On the nail it's still yummy but it looks almost jelly like. maybe it's a crelly.

Julep Ashley and Camille

You know Camille but this time you can see her in her orange and green flecked Glory!
Ashley is a sheer orange frost! two coats of Ash and one of the infamous Camille!

Julep Camille and Natalie

Julep's Camille is a clear jelly with orange and green glitter (you will not be able to see them in this post, unfortunately) and Natalie is an AMAZING pink with orange undertones, a little hotter than coral. Two coats of Natalie one of Camille.

OPI Gargantuan Green Grape and the Fresh Frog of Bel Air

OPI's GGG is slightly more robin's egg than mint, FFoBA has mini true green glitter and larger circular white glitter in a clear base. Two coats of  Triple G one coat of FFoBA using the dabbing method.

Floss Gloss Fast Lane

I'll have to re-do this mani! I love the color but had a bit of a problem with the formula. It was definitely not easy to spread the coats, but it does have a gorgeous finish! I look forward to trying it again!

Butter London The Black Knight

Butter London's black base with red, blue, pink and silver glitter. It's very beautiful, I don't think the picture's do it justice!

Butter London Knackered

Butter London's Knackered is a pale purple and blue sparkly duo chrome. The shift is much more apparent in the bottle, but I do need to try it over a black base, as I have seen nail gurus do! This is, if i remember correctly, three coats over a pale base.

Revlon Girly

Revlon's Girly. This polish has been getting a lot of praise in the nail community, it's very sought after! the formula is thin, which I love, and the blue and pink glitter remind me of a new Justin Timberlake song, Strawberry Bubblegum. This is two coats of Girly over Nicole by OPI's Paparazzi Don't Preach.

Nail Junkie On The Rise!

This is Sinful Colors On the Rise a smooth teal with Nail Junkie a blue, teal, and green glitter jelly layered on top. It's darker and more glitzy in real life but I couldn't capture it correctly! One coat of On The Rise and one coat of Nail Junkie!

Deborah Lippmann Between the Sheets

This is my second Deborah Lippmann ever. My first was Cleopatra in New York. Lippmann has a great formula. It doesn't matter what nail polish it is with her, she is consistent with her great formulas, from glitters to cremes. Between the Sheets is a gorgeous, "tantalizing fuchsia creme". I don't know what took me so long to start buying her brand. I have no complaints!

Ghosts of Manis Past

Here are some past manicures from over the years, all nails no matter how short or how long are all my real nails, I don't wear acrylics...gels or any other fake nail. These are all from when I was in College!

Essie's Chinchilly
Urban Outfitter's Smush

An OPI coral that I can't remember the name.

An Orly that I can't remember the name

Nicole by OPI Paparazzi Don't Preach

Palette Cleanser

This is either OPIs Bubble Bath or Mimosas for the Mr. and Mrs. I used both pretty close together, which is why I don't remember which is which. This was being used as a palette cleanser because I started to notice my nails were stained from not taking breaks in between nail polish bouts.

China Glaze Shocking Pink

China Glaze's Shocking Pink from the Wow Factor Collection, it's under a glitter that I can't remember the name of at the moment. Three painful coats of neon. Great color, bad formula! This is just my opinion, there are plenty of people who love China Glaze's formula and hate Butter London's, which I think is one of God's gifts to man.

Spoiled I Only Eat Salads!

This creamy lime green is from Spoiled's line. It's very lush, it's not a neon just very bright. I don't have many greens in my collection but I'm being drawn to them more and more! This is two coats and no top coat.

Julep Morgan

Julep Morgan is a frosty grape purple shimmer, I like the color, all though it's not very unique I think it works quite well with many different skin tones and is a good staple color. I don't buy a lot of purples, I'm just not really drawn to them like I am pinks and reds.

Julep Rose

This is julep Rose it's a gorgeous bright red/fuchsia creme. I think that the color is absolutely beautiful and that it works amazingly with my skin tone. This color actually means a lot to me because my grandmother on my dad's side was named Rose, and she unfortunately passed away three years ago. She was a great person and I'm so glad that I have a great color that makes me think of her. (There's another Julep named Stella that I have to get from my grandmother on my mom's side, her name is Costella.)

Onto the swatches!

Glitter Gradient

In addition to trying ruffians, I tried my first glitter gradient! I love it in real life but in pictures, the mistakes are much more noticeable. I used two thin coats of Floss Gloss's Perf, which you all have seen before and I used the dabbing technique for the glitter which is Julep's Barbara.

Rude Ruffians

I am a long time nail art lover, first time beginner. I'm usually afraid to try nail art because i'm just sure it'll look hideous. But what I realized is that everyone's first time at nail art probably looked hideous! They got better because they kept trying, so I decided to try...

Ruffians!

...these are not your normal ruffians these are triple and quadruple ruffians. I know they don't look professional, but cheers to something new!
